The Church of the Transfiguration of Christ (Schlüsselburg ). The original wooden church, built before 1500, was probably destroyed at the Trouble Times. The new stone cemetery church with built up four-tier bell tower (there were seven bells by 1917) was constructed during 1815-1819 in the Classicism style (the architect V.I. Beretti) on Preobrazhensky Mountain. From the beginning of the 20th century the church was added to the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Mother of God. It did not work from September 1937. The archpriest Vladimir Talitsky, the last dean, was arrested. On 8 December 1937 the church was closed , it was the last closed church in Schlüsselburg. The especially honoured Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was housed in the church before its closing. The church was adapted for a Navy Educational Centre. The building was destroyed during World War II as the result of bombardments of the Soviet artillery, ruins were demolished in the second half of the 1940s.
