The Syask village church of the Nativity (Kolchanovo Village, Volkhovsky District) The original wooden church of the Birrh of John the Baptist was built before 1582; in 1735 the new wooden church was built on its place, it was dismantled in 1855. Another wooden church of the Nativity of Christ was built before 1582, in 1792 the stone church, in the Classicism style, was built on its palce. It did not work from August 1937, it was closed in 1938 and was adapted for the machine - tractor station. Now it is ruined. The stone church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God was built in 1854-1862 by the architect А.Y. Andreyev according to the design of the architect K.A. Ton in the Russian-Byzantine style. The side chapels were devoted to the Birth of John the Baptist and St Vasily Ankirski the Martyr. It was closed on 8 October 1938 and adapted for the store. The church building was survived , it is empty and ruined; there is a restoration project. 10 chapels were attached to the church in 1917, the Nikolskaya chapel of Morozovo village (1836), with the old icon, was autstanding (1836).
